Grab your sharpie, get our your race calendar and flip it to August because you will not want to miss the fun events that are going on all around Lancaster County this month. This August, you can make whoopie (Get your mind out of the gutter, it’s a virtual race to celebrate our local dessert the Whoopie pie), run miles through the Susquehanna River or combine the two and join other Runikers as you run and kayak across the finish line in Columbia.

A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. And your medals will be shipped directly to you. The Makin’ Whoopie Challenge Virtual Race will empower you to push yourself to complete 3 5k runs, support local small businesses all while celebrating our local dessert, the Whoopie Pie.

Swim 300 meters, bike 15.8 and run 3.1 miles in the beautiful farmlands surrounding Lititz!

The Ox Trot is a challenging 5 mile road race which starts and finishes at Bowmansville Park.

Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce hosts a duathlon for teams and individuals. The race starts with a 4 Mile run run by the river followed by a kayak race.
